What you must note when transporting the vehicle.
The MQB-A lithium ion battery system fitted in your vehicle, which uses batteries of the type SANYO 12 UF 261 591, has been successfully tested in accordance with the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria, Part III, Sub-section 38.3. The vehicle may be transported by air or sea as a regular Class 9 hazardous substance without additional official approval (legal status: ICAO-TI and IMDG code 01.01.2012).
