Applies to vehicles: with plug-in hybrid drive
The departure time specifies when the vehicle interior is to reach the desired temperature. One timer is available in the auxiliary air conditioner or auxiliary heating/air conditioning* menu.
Auxiliary air conditioning: Setting timer
Select: MENU button > Car > Car systems > Auxiliary air conditioner > Program timers > e.g. Timer 1: departure.
Set the time and date.
Press the BACK button.
Press the rotary pushbutton to confirm the setting and activate the timer. A will appear in the box Fig. 2.
Auxiliary heating/air conditioning*: Setting timer
Select: MENU button > Car > Car systems > Auxiliary heating/air conditioning > Program timers > e.g. Timer 1: departure.
Set the time and date.
Press the BACK button.
Press the rotary pushbutton to confirm the setting and activate the timer. A will appear in the box Fig. 2.
After the departure time has been reached, the next calendar date is automatically entered on the MMI. To activate the auxiliary heating or auxiliary heating/air conditioning* for the following day, confirm the setting ( on the MMI Fig. 2).
Note
- You can set the timer up to seven days in advance.
- You can control the air conditioning in the vehicle interior when charging the high-voltage battery via the charging timers ►Link.
- To ensure that the timer operates correctly, check that the correct time and date are entered in the MMI settings. Please refer to the operating manual for your infotainment system for details of how to set the date and time.
- The auxiliary heating or auxiliary heating/air conditioning* can continue to run for a long period after the programmed departure time.
