Applies to vehicles: with collapsible spare wheel
Important: The tools and compressor must be unpacked and ready for use Link.
Pumping up the collapsible spare wheel
Unscrew the valve cap from the collapsible spare wheel.
Screw the compressor filler hose onto the tyre valve of the collapsible spare wheel.
Plug the connector of the compressor into an electrical socket on the vehicle and switch it on.
Run the compressor until the tyre pressure reaches the value listed on the tyre pressure sticker Fig. 1 Caution!.
Screw the valve cap back onto the valve.
Putting the collapsible spare wheel away again
Unscrew the valve cap to release the air from the tyre.
Wait a few hours before placing the wheel back in the spare wheel well. Only then can it be folded back completely and stowed safely.
Then screw the valve cap back onto the valve.
Secure the wheel with the plastic knob.
The collapsible spare wheel can be used again as long as it has not been damaged and has not been worn down as far as the tread wear indicators.
WARNING!
- Use the collapsible spare wheel in an emergency only and take extra care when driving if it is more than 6 years old.
- The compressor and the tyre filler hose can become very hot during operation (risk of burns).
