If you hear a long beep for a few seconds and the LED in the 
switch* starts flashing when you switch on the parking aid, or while the system is activated, a system fault has occurred. Please have the fault corrected by an Audi dealer or qualified workshop.

If the fault is not corrected before you switch off the ignition, it will only be indicated by the flashing LED in the switch * the next time you switch on the parking aid. However, you will still hear the warning beep if you activate the parking aid by pressing the switch.
