You will find several storage compartments and retainers at various points in the vehicle:
- Storage compartments in the doors
- Storage compartment in the glove box (refrigerated*). The glove box can be locked with the emergency key ►Link.
- Compartment for (sun)glasses* in the headliner (near the interior mirror)
- Storage compartment underneath the centre armrest* (in the front cabin)
- Storage compartment at the front end of the front seats*. This compartment can hold objects weighing up to 1 kg.
- Storage compartments* in the front seat backrests
- Coat hooks on the rear side of the B-pillars (in the rear cabin) and on the rear grab handles.
- Storage compartment in the rear centre armrest
WARNING!
- Do not store any heavy or hard objects on the storage shelf behind the rear seat backrest. They could cause injury if the brakes are applied suddenly.
- To avoid the risk of injuries, always keep the glove box lid closed when driving.
- Always keep the lid of the compartment for (sun)glasses* above the interior mirror closed while the vehicle is in motion to reduce the risk of injury during a sudden braking manoeuvre or in the event of an accident.
- The storage compartments in the door trims should only be used to store small objects. Make sure that they are stored safely inside the compartment, as otherwise they might impair the protection offered by the side airbags.
- Make sure that any items of clothing hanging from the coat hooks do not obstruct your view to the rear.
- Only use the coat hooks for light items of clothing and make sure that there are no heavy or sharp objects in the pockets.
- Do not use clothes hangers to hang up the clothing, as this could interfere with the function of the head-protection airbags*.
Caution!
Hard objects on the rear shelf can chafe against the wires of the heating element in the rear window and cause damage.
