Luggage compartment: Load retention set

Applies to vehicles: with load retention set
The load retention set prevents objects from sliding around the luggage compartment.
Ensure that the backrests are upright and the load guard is hooked in place WARNING! and ►Link.
Installing the retaining strap -A-
Insert both posts of the retaining strap into the openings in the rails.
Press the post -1- downwards and slide it to the desired position.
Make sure that the posts are properly engaged.
To tension the retaining strap, press the button -2-.
Installing the telescopic bar -B-
Insert both posts of the telescopic bar into the openings in the rails.
Press and hold down the post -1- with one hand while sliding the lower part to the desired position with the other hand.
Make sure that the posts are properly engaged.
WARNING!
  • The rear backrest must always be securely latched so that objects stored in the luggage compartment will not fly forward during sudden braking.
  • In an accident or a sudden manoeuvre, loose objects in the passenger compartment can be flung forward and possibly injure vehicle occupants.
