Braking guard: off
This driver message appears when the system is switched off on the infotainment system. The message also appears briefly after you begin driving if the system is switched off.
The message will also appear if the system is unavailable due to an error or if the ESC is not switched on ►Link. In this state, the system no longer warns you about an impending collision.
Braking guard: activated
This driver message appears when the brakes are dabbed due to an acute warning.
ACC: not available
ACC and Audi braking guard: not available
The system cannot detect objects reliably and will be deactivated. The sensors are out of alignment or defective. The functions of the pre sense system may also be impaired. Drive to a qualified workshop and have the fault rectified.

These messages appear if the radar sensor vision is impaired, e.g. by leaves, snow, heavy road spray or dirt. Clean the sensors Fig. 1.
ACC: currently unavailable. Gradient too steep
The maximum possible road gradient for safe operation of the adaptive cruise control has been exceeded. The adaptive cruise control will be switched off.
ACC: only available in D, S or M
Move the selector lever to position D/S or M.
ACC: currently unavailable. Parking brake applied
The adaptive cruise control system is deactivated if the parking brake is applied.
ACC: currently unavailable. Stabilisation control (ESC) input
This message appears if the electronic stabilisation control (ESC) intervenes. In this case, the adaptive cruise control will automatically be switched off.
ACC: currently unavailable. Downhill assist active
allroad: The adaptive cruise control is deactivated while the downhill assist is switched on.
ACC off: manual control!
This message appears if the adaptive cruise control cannot engage the parking brake. Press the brake pedal to prevent the vehicle from rolling away.
Three white dots appear if a setting made with the control lever cannot be implemented. This might happen after stopping in congested traffic, for example, if the adaptive cruise control cannot set the vehicle in motion because the driver has unbuckled the seat belt.
Door open
You cannot switch on the adaptive cruise control if a door is open.
Stationary object ahead
This message appears if you try to switch on the adaptive cruise control when a stationary vehicle or obstacle is located immediately in front of your car.
