You can adjust the sound and volume of the MMI individually. The settings depend on the equipment fitted in your vehicle.
Press the TONE button.
-1- GALA*/DSP*/DSP [BOSE]*/DSP [Bang & Olufsen]*
- GALA (speed-dependent volume control)*: Select and confirm active/inactive to have the playback volume adjusted according to the interior noise level.
- Sound focus*: Select and confirm all (evenly distributed sound focus)/driver (enhanced sound impression for the driver) or all/front/rear.
- Surround level*: Turn the rotary pushbutton to adjust the volume of the surround effect.
- AudioPilot (dynamic background noise compensation)*: Select and confirm the option active/inactive. When this function is activated, the music volume is adjusted automatically depending on the interior noise level.
- Sound focus*: Select and confirm all (evenly distributed sound focus)/movie* (enhanced sound when playing a film)/front*/rear*.
- Volume levelling*: Turn the rotary pushbutton to adjust the dynamic noise compensation.
-2- Subwoofer* / -3- Bass / -4- Treble
You can adjust the Subwoofer*, Bass and Treble settings by turning the rotary pushbutton. New settings apply only to the currently activated audio source, allowing the settings of each audio source to be adjusted individually.
-5- Balance/fader (sound focus)
- To set the volume ratio using MMI touch: Move your finger in the desired direction on the MMI touch pad.
- To set the volume ratio using the rotary pushbutton: Move the rotary pushbutton in the desired direction.
If the audio output via the vehicle's sound system has been adjusted in the Rear Seat Entertainment*, a loudspeaker symbol will appear on the MMI display -1- Fig. 2. To switch off the audio output via the vehicle's sound system, you can press any of the buttons for calling up menus directly on the MMI control console.
