The wireless headphones must be bonded to the RSE and marked once.
Bonding the wireless headphones
Important: The protective film for the battery compartment must have been removed Fig. 3, and the wireless headphones must be switched off.
- To prepare the headphones for bonding: Press and hold the on/off button -1- Fig. 1 on the right headphone (R) for at least 5 seconds until the LED -2- starts flashing and then flashes rapidly.
- To bond the headphones: Select the MENU button > Setup RSE > Headphones > Find wireless headphones > OK > desired headphones from the list.
Repeat these steps to bond the other wireless headphones.
The flash frequency of the LED indicates the connection status of the wireless headphones.

Marking the wireless headphones
- Attach the sticker provided -1-/-2- Fig. 2 to the inside of the left/right wireless headphones.
Identification of wireless headphones:

Switching the wireless headphones on/off
- To switch the headphones on: Press and hold the on/off button -1- Fig. 1 on the right headphone (R) for approx. 3 seconds and then let it go as soon as the LED -2- starts flashing. As soon as the connection to the wireless headphones has been established, the LED -2- flashes slowly.
- To switch the headphones off: Press and hold the on/off button -1- until the LED -2- goes out.
When you switch off the RSE system, the wireless headphones will also be switched off after approx. five minutes.
Deleting the wireless headphones
If you want to replace the headphones or change the assignment of the headphones, you can delete the connection between the wireless headphones and the RSE.
- Select: MENU button > control button Setup RSE > Headphones > Delete wireless headphones.
WARNING!
- For safety reasons, the driver should only use the headphones when the vehicle is stationary - risk of accident!
- Make sure that the headphones are securely stowed when driving to prevent them from being catapulted through the car under braking or in an accident.
- Keep the headphone volume at an appropriate level. Listening at a very high volume for long periods can cause hearing damage.
Note
- When you switch on the RSE system, the connection to the bonded wireless headphones will be re-established automatically if they are switched on.
- The RSE system only supports the wireless headphones that are available from your Audi dealer.
- The audio/video playback via the wireless headphones will be paused during the bonding procedure.
- The bonding procedures for the left and right headphones must be started separately. The wireless headphones will be be assigned to the RSE display on the side of the controls you use to start the bonding procedure. Which of the RSE displays the wireless headphones are assigned to is marked with a sticker.
- When you connect the wireless headphones, very high/very low volume levels are automatically reduced/increased to a preset level.
