- Fig. 1 Detail of the driver's door: Controls
Applies to vehicles: with electric child-proof catches
The child-proof catches prevent the rear doors being opened from the inside.

To deactivate the child-proof catches on the rear doors, press the left/right button on the driver's door. The LED in the button will go out.
The following functions are deactivated:
- The door handle on the inside of the corresponding rear door
- The electric window in the corresponding rear door
- The switches for the sun blind* in the rear window
- The switches for the electric sun blinds* in the side windows
- The switch for front passenger's seat adjustment* (applies if the right button is activated on a left-hand drive vehicle)
To switch on the electric child-proof catches on both sides, press the buttons one after the other.
Always take the key with you when leaving the vehicle - even if you only intend to be gone for a short time. This is especially important if children are left in the car. They might otherwise be able to start the engine or use power-operated equipment such as the electric windows - this could lead to injuries.
