If the power supply should fail, you must release the selector lever manually before towing the vehicle.
Releasing the selector lever requires a certain degree of practical skill. We therefore advise you to obtain professional assistance.
Preparations
Apply e.g. the parking brake or press the brake pedal WARNING! to prevent the vehicle from rolling away.
Take hold of the frame inside underneath the cover with both hands Fig. 1.
Pull the frame with the cover upwards. You can fold the cover upwards over the selector lever knob.
Releasing the selector lever manually
Press and hold the yellow release catch Fig. 2.
Press the button on the selector lever and move the selector lever to position N.
Clip the frame with the cover in again.
WARNING!
If you release the parking lock manually, apply the parking brake to prevent the vehicle from moving (or use the brake pedal if the parking brake is inoperational). If you do not apply the brake, the vehicle may roll away and cause an accident.
