In the directory you can use a general profile and up to four personal profiles.
Personal profiles are especially helpful if you would like to connect different mobile phones or SIM cards to the MMI system. When you reconnect the mobile phone or insert the SIM card again, you will have immediate access to the phone book entries on your mobile phone or SIM card in the personal profile. The local entries in the personal profile are only visible when the mobile phone or SIM card for that personal profile is connected. The directory entries are updated automatically in the background.
The entries of the mobile phone currently connected or the SIM card currently inserted are loaded into the general profile. The entries in the general profile for a mobile phone or SIM card that was previously connected are overwritten. The local entries of the general profile are also visible if no mobile phone is connected or no SIM card is inserted.
