Loads carried on the roof must be securely attached. The car's handling is affected when transporting loads.
The maximum permissible roof load for your vehicle is 100 kg. The load limit applies to the combined weight of the roof carrier, the additional elements and the load itself.

- To prevent accidents, loads carried on the roof must be securely attached.
- Distribute the loads evenly on the roof carrier system and make sure the load does not protrude over the width of the cross bars - risk of accident!
- Do not exceed the maximum roof load for the vehicle, the maximum axle loads or the maximum gross vehicle weight, as this could cause an accident.
- Only attach additional elements to the roof carrier after you have attached the roof carrier to the vehicle - risk of accident!
- When transporting heavy or bulky loads on the roof, bear in mind that the car's handling is affected by the extra weight on the roof and a possible susceptibility to cross winds. Adjust your speed and driving style accordingly to avoid accidents. We recommend driving at a maximum speed of 130 km/h.
- Assembling a roof carrier system (with or without additional elements) changes the height of your vehicle; it is very important that you bear this in mind especially when driving into garages, through tunnels, underpasses, etc. - risk of accident!
Caution!
- Please take extra care not to let the tailgate strike the roof load when open. On vehicles with power-operated tailgate*, adapt the open position of the tailgate if necessary Link.
- Remove the roof carrier system and any attached elements before driving into a car wash to avoid damage.
For the sake of the environment
A roof carrier is often left attached for convenience, even when it is not being used. However, the increased air resistance means that the vehicle uses more fuel. For this reason you should always take off the roof carrier when it is not in use.
