Applies to: vehicles with load retention set
The load retention set prevents objects from sliding around the luggage compartment.
Ensure that the backrests are upright and the load guard is hooked in place link►.
Installing the retaining strap -A-
Attach the fastening rings link►.
Press the pushbutton -2- on the posts -1- and place them over the fastening rings Fig. 94►.
Make sure that the posts are properly engaged.
Slide the fastening rings to bring the retaining strap into the desired position link►.
To tension the retaining strap, press the pushbutton -2-.
Installing the telescopic bar -B-
Attach the fastening rings link►.
Press the pushbutton -2- on the posts -1- and place them over the fastening rings Fig. 94►.
Make sure that the posts are properly engaged.
Slide the fastening rings to bring the telescopic bar into the desired position link►.
Press the post -1- and hold down -2- with one hand while sliding the lower part to the desired position with the other hand.
Make sure that the posts are properly engaged.
Cover for rails
The cover can be inserted in the rail if necessary.
Insert the cover into the tracks in the rail Fig. 95►.
- The rear backrest must always be securely latched so that objects stored in the luggage compartment will not fly forward during sudden braking.
- In an accident or a sudden manoeuvre, loose objects in the passenger compartment can be flung forward and possibly injure vehicle occupants.
CAUTION
Whenever you carry passengers on the third row of seats*, you should remove the adjustable fastening rings* and insert the covers in the rails to prevent injury Fig. 95►.
Note
Insert the covers in the rails if you do not need the adjustable fastening rings*. This will prevent dirt and damage.
