The screw connection for the towline anchorage is located behind a cover cap on the right side of the front bumper. On some models, the complete trim panel must be removed in order to access the screw connection.
Take the towline anchorage out of the vehicle s tool kit link►.
Firmly press the lower part of the cap inwards Fig. 336►. The cover cap will be released from the bumper.
Screw the towline anchorage securely into the screw connection as far as it will go Fig. 337► and tighten it with the box spanner.
Put the towline anchorage back in the tool kit after use.
WARNING
If the towline anchorage is not screwed in as far as the stop, there is a risk of the screw connection shearing off during towing - risk of accident!
