Before you take your car out on a racing circuit, you should ensure that it is in perfect condition. You should check the tyre tread link► and brake pads for wear. Once the tyres have warmed up, you should check the pressures and let air out accordingly to compensate for the increase in pressure.

All parts of the vehicle, but particularly the engine, gearbox, clutch, tyres, brakes and suspension, are subjected to heavy loads when the car is used on a racing circuit. This can result in increased wear and tear. The oil consumption may also be higher than in normal use link►.

You should always check your vehicle carefully after driving hard. Are the brake pads ok? Do you notice any problems with the tyres (e.g. tread worn, blistering, etc.)? Are the air intakes free of leaves and deposits? Is the oil level ok?
