Applies to vehicles: with car telephone kit
There are two ways of searching for Bluetooth devices.
Important: The Bluetooth function must be switched on both on the MMI system Link and on the mobile phone, and access to your SIM card must be possible. Discoverability must be activated on your mobile phone.
Search for new mobile phone
Press the function selector button marked TEL. The MMI display will show the message Please connect your mobile phone or insert the SIM card.
Turn the rotary pushbutton to Search for new mobile phone Fig. 1 and press the rotary pushbutton. The available Bluetooth mobile phones are shown on the MMI display.
Find Bluetooth devices
Press the function selector button marked TEL.
Press the control button for Settings.
Turn the rotary pushbutton to Bluetooth and press the rotary pushbutton.
Turn the rotary pushbutton to Find Bluetooth devices and press the rotary pushbutton. The available Bluetooth devices are shown on the MMI display.
The Find Bluetooth devices function shows all available Bluetooth devices on the MMI display.
A mobile phone shown on the MMI display can be connected to the car telephone kit either with the SIM Access Profile (Car phone) Link or the Handsfree Profile (Handsfree) Link.
Note
Some mobile phones are only found by the MMI system via the function Find Bluetooth devices.
