Applies to vehicles: with handset for the car telephone kit
Important: The SIM card must be inserted and the handset must be bonded Link.
Switching on/off automatically
Make sure that the handset is properly engaged in the carrier.
Switch on the ignition. The handset is switched on automatically when the MMI is switched on. The connection to the car telephone kit is established.
Remove the ignition key. The handset will then be switched off automatically.
Switching on/off manually
Press and hold the On/off button -9- Fig. 1 for several seconds. The handset is ready for operation as soon as a Bluetooth connection has been established.
Note
If you have selected a Bluetooth audio player as the audio source in media mode, the connection will not be re-established automatically if you switch on the handset manually. To establish the connection, insert the handset in the carrier. The audio source is muted briefly, and the Bluetooth connection is subsequently re-established.
